halflives

Decay time measures

Halflives is the plural of half-life, the time required for half of a radioactive substance to decay, or for a drug's concentration in the body to reduce by half: Different isotopes have vastly different halflives.

Figuratively, it describes how long something remains relevant or effective: Political scandals have shorter halflives now.
