grey water

Lightly soiled drainage

Grey water (also graywater or greywater) is household wastewater that comes from sinks, showers, bathtubs, and washing machines—essentially any drain except toilets.

Unlike blackwater, which contains sewage, grey water is relatively clean and can be recycled for purposes like irrigating gardens or flushing toilets.

We installed a system to redirect grey water from the shower to the flower beds.

Environmental regulations on grey water reuse vary widely by region.
