gas well
Underground extraction site
A gas well is a hole drilled into the earth to extract natural gas from underground reservoirs.
Unlike oil wells, gas wells target formations where hydrocarbons exist primarily in gaseous form.
The term covers both the borehole itself and the surface equipment: The company operates twelve gas wells in the Permian Basin.
