followeth

Trails behind another

Followeth is an archaic form of "follows," using the -eth suffix that marked third-person singular verbs in Early Modern English.

It appears almost exclusively in biblical and liturgical contexts: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death... surely goodness and mercy shall followeth me.

Outside quotation, it signals deliberate archaism or parody.
