flowcharting
Visual workflow design
Flowcharting is the practice of creating flowcharts—diagrams that map out processes, decisions, or workflows using standardized shapes and connecting arrows.
Rectangles typically represent steps, diamonds represent decision points, and arrows show direction of flow.
The technique is common in programming, business analysis, and process documentation: We spent the morning flowcharting the customer service workflow.
