Blinding tactical explosive
A flash-bang is a grenade designed to disorient rather than kill, producing a blinding flash and deafening noise on detonation.
Police and military use them in raids and hostage situations to stun occupants momentarily: SWAT tossed a flash-bang through the window before breaching.
Also called a stun grenade.
