finish nails
Small trim fasteners
Finish nails are thin nails with small heads, designed to be driven below the wood surface and concealed with putty.
They're used in trim work, molding, and cabinetry where visible nail heads would be unsightly: She used finish nails on the baseboards.
The small head leaves a tiny hole easily filled and painted over.
