Pointing road signs
Fingerposts are signposts with pointing arms indicating directions to nearby destinations, typically found at road junctions or trail intersections.
The name comes from their resemblance to a pointing finger.
Traditional fingerposts are wooden or metal posts with multiple arms, each bearing the name and often the distance to a place: The fingerpost pointed toward the village three miles ahead.
