film credit

Name after movie

A film credit is an acknowledgment of someone's contribution to a movie, typically appearing at the beginning or end.

Opening credits identify the director, stars, and producers; closing credits list everyone from grips to caterers.

The plural credits often refers to the entire scroll: We stayed through the credits to see if there was a post-credits scene.

A credit can also mean a single entry: She finally got a film credit as assistant director.
