fancast
Imagined movie lineup
Fancast is when fans imaginatively assign actors to roles in a hypothetical adaptation of a book, comic, or video game.
The term works as both noun and verb: My fancast for the villain is Oscar Isaac, Who would you fancast as the lead?
Fancasting often happens before official casting is announced, or for works that haven't been adapted at all.
