fall league
Seasonal sports organization
A fall league is an organized sports competition held during autumn months, typically running from September through November.
In youth and amateur sports, fall leagues offer structured play outside the main competitive season: My son signed up for fall league soccer.
For professional sports, fall leagues often serve as developmental or instructional programs for prospects working on skills during the off-season.
