Nonprofit recreational leagues
YMCA sports are recreational athletic programs run by the Young Men's Christian Association, emphasizing participation and community over competition.
These programs—basketball, swimming, youth soccer leagues—are typically affordable and open to all skill levels.
The YMCA actually invented basketball and volleyball, and remains a major provider of youth sports in the United States.
