fall-through
Deal goes bust
Fall-through refers to something that fails to materialize or complete as expected, particularly a deal or agreement that collapses before finalization: The sale was a fall-through, so the house is back on the market.
In programming, fall-through describes the behavior in switch statements where execution continues from one case to the next without an explicit break, sometimes intentionally but often as a bug source.
