equivalence point
Stoichiometric completion moment
The equivalence point in a chemical titration is the moment when the amount of added reagent exactly matches the amount needed to react completely with the substance being analyzed.
At this point, neither reactant is in excess.
The equivalence point may or may not coincide with a visible indicator change: The pH at the equivalence point depends on the strength of the acid and base involved.
