entertainment district
Urban amusement area
An entertainment district is an area of a city concentrated with nightlife venues—bars, clubs, theaters, restaurants, and music halls.
Many cities designate official entertainment districts where noise ordinances are relaxed and alcohol regulations differ: Sixth Street is Austin's famous entertainment district.
The term can also describe themed zones within amusement parks or shopping complexes.
