edit-war
Competing page changes
An edit-war is a cycle of opposing changes to a shared document, especially a wiki article, where contributors repeatedly undo each other's revisions.
The term emerged from Wikipedia culture, where editors with conflicting views on content, phrasing, or interpretation revert each other's edits rather than reaching consensus: The article on climate change devolved into an edit-war.
The verb is to edit-war or engage in edit-warring.
