duffle

Cylindrical travel bag

Duffle is a coarse woolen fabric with a thick nap, originally from Duffel, Belgium.

The word now most often refers to items made from or associated with this material: a duffle bag is a large cylindrical bag of heavy cloth, and a duffle coat is a hooded toggle-fastened coat.

The spelling duffel is equally common.
