duffles
Cylindrical travel carriers
Duffles is the plural of duffle (also spelled duffel), referring to either the coarse woolen fabric or, more commonly today, the cylindrical bags made from it.
A duffle bag has a drawstring or zipper closure and is carried by hand or over the shoulder, originally used by sailors and soldiers for personal belongings.
She packed her duffles for the camping trip.
The word comes from Duffel, a town in Belgium where the fabric was first made.
