dropships
Combat insertion vehicles
Dropships function in two distinct domains.
In retail, to dropship is to sell products that ship directly from the manufacturer or wholesaler to the customer, bypassing the seller's inventory entirely.
She built her online store around dropshipping so she never had to handle merchandise.
In science fiction and video games, dropships are spacecraft designed to rapidly deploy troops or cargo from orbit to a planet's surface, combining the roles of transport and tactical insertion vehicle.
