dream speech
Nocturnal verbal outburst
Dream speech is the fragmentary, often incoherent talk produced by someone who is asleep or half-asleep.
It can also describe the disjointed, surreal quality of speech within dreams themselves—words that seem meaningful in the dream but nonsensical upon waking: Her dream speech was just mumbled fragments about purple staircases.
