drainpipes

Channels for runoff

Drainpipes are pipes that carry water away from a building, typically running vertically down exterior walls to channel rainwater from gutters to the ground.

The word also describes a style of very tight, narrow trousers that hug the legs like pipes: He wore black drainpipes and pointed boots.

This fashion sense, popular in various youth subcultures since the 1950s, is sometimes shortened to drainpipe as an adjective: drainpipe jeans.
