A doubledecker is something with two levels stacked vertically.
The term most commonly describes buses with an upper and lower passenger deck, iconic in London: We rode the doubledecker through the city.
It extends to sandwiches made with three slices of bread creating two layers of filling, and to any two-tiered structure: a doubledecker bunk bed.
