distractibility

Easily pulled away

Distractibility is the tendency to be easily diverted from a task or train of thought.

It's a core feature of attention disorders like ADHD, but everyone experiences it to some degree: My distractibility peaks when I'm tired or stressed.

The quality exists on a spectrum—some distractibility can aid creativity by allowing unexpected connections, while excessive distractibility impairs focus and productivity.
