disfavour

Loss of approval

Disfavour is the state of being regarded with disapproval or having lost someone's good opinion: to fall into disfavour with the king.

It also names the disapproval itself: She viewed the proposal with disfavour.

To disfavour something is to regard it unfavourably or to disadvantage it: policies that disfavour small businesses.

The spelling is British; Americans write disfavor.
