Stimulant street drugs
Dexies is slang for dextroamphetamine pills, a stimulant prescribed for ADHD and narcolepsy but frequently abused for its euphoric and energizing effects.
The term dates to mid-20th century drug culture, when Dexedrine was a common brand: Truckers popped dexies to stay awake on long hauls.
Now largely replaced by newer slang.
