dex

Hand-eye coordination measure

Dex is short for dexterity, especially in gaming contexts where it's a character attribute affecting agility, accuracy, and fine motor skills: I'm building a high-dex rogue.

In pharmacology, dex is informal shorthand for dextroamphetamine or dexamethasone.

The clipped form appears almost exclusively in casual or technical speech.
