dematerialize
Fade from existence
To dematerialize is to vanish from physical existence—to cease being material.
In science fiction and fantasy, objects or beings dematerialize when they disappear, often through teleportation or magic: The ghost dematerialized before our eyes.
The word also applies figuratively to things that fade or dissolve: Support for the project dematerialized once funding dried up.
