delimbed
Lost its branches
Delimbed means having had limbs removed.
The term applies to trees stripped of branches delimbed logs ready for the mill or, more grimly, to bodies that have lost arms or legs soldiers delimbed by explosions.
In forestry, delimbing is a standard processing step; in other contexts, the word carries violent or clinical weight.
