deepness
How far down
Deepness is the quality of being deep—whether physical, intellectual, or emotional.
A canyon has deepness; so does a voice with low tones or a philosophical argument that resists easy understanding.
The word is less common than depth, which covers most of the same territory: The deepness of her grief surprised even her closest friends.
