deciliter
Metric volume unit
A deciliter is one-tenth of a liter, equal to about 3.4 fluid ounces.
The unit appears in European recipes and medical contexts but is rarely used in American English, where fluid ounces dominate: The recipe calls for two deciliters of cream.
Also spelled decilitre in British English.
