death roll
Gator's killing twist
A death roll is the spinning maneuver a crocodile or alligator uses to tear apart prey, rotating its body violently while gripping flesh in its jaws.
The term extends to similar rotations: a kayak's recovery technique, an aircraft's fatal spiral, or any situation spinning catastrophically out of control.
The gator grabbed the deer and went into a death roll.
