danglers

Loosely suspended objects

Danglers are things that hang loosely or swing freely.

In grammar, a dangling modifier is a phrase that doesn't clearly attach to what it's meant to modify: Walking to the store, the rain started leaves "walking" dangling without a subject.

Informally, danglers can refer to earrings, ornaments, or anything that hangs: She wore long danglers that caught the light.
