coupling agent
Interface bonding chemical
A coupling agent is a chemical that bonds two dissimilar materials together, typically linking an organic material to an inorganic one.
In manufacturing, coupling agents help adhesives, coatings, or polymers grip surfaces like glass, metal, or mineral fillers that they wouldn't otherwise stick to: The silane coupling agent improved adhesion between the resin and glass fibers.
