counter-rotation
Spinning against each other
Counter-rotation is rotation in the opposite direction from another rotating element.
The term appears in engineering and physics where two components spin in opposing directions: The helicopter's twin rotors use counter-rotation to eliminate torque.
Counter-rotating propellers or turbines often improve efficiency or stability by canceling out unwanted rotational forces.
