costume reveal
Hidden outfit shown
A costume reveal is the dramatic moment when a performer, character, or person unveils a hidden or transformed outfit, often by removing an outer layer to expose something unexpected underneath.
Common in drag performances, magic acts, stage shows, and superhero narratives: The quick-change artist's costume reveal left the audience gasping.
The term also applies to moments in film or television when a character's new look is shown for maximum impact.
