conga drums
Tall barrel percussion
Conga drums are tall, narrow, single-headed drums of Afro-Cuban origin, played with the hands.
They typically come in sets of two or three with different pitches and are central to Latin music, particularly salsa and rumba.
The player strikes the drumhead with palms and fingers to produce varied tones: She studied conga drums for years before joining the band.
