A comprehender is someone who understands or grasps something.
The word is rare outside technical contexts—linguistics and reading research use it to describe the person doing the understanding: skilled comprehenders extract meaning from text more efficiently.
In ordinary speech, you'd more likely say someone understands rather than call them a comprehender.
