Cloudspotting is the hobby of observing and identifying cloud formations—cumulus, cirrus, cumulonimbus, and the rest.
Like birdwatching, it combines outdoor leisure with a bit of scientific knowledge: We spent the afternoon cloudspotting on the hillside.
