clock off
Punch out time
Clock off means to end one's work shift, especially by recording the time of departure.
The phrase comes from the practice of punching a time clock.
British English uses clock off where American English prefers clock out.
I usually clock off around five.
Figuratively, to clock off can mean to mentally disengage: After that meeting, I just clocked off for the day.
