circumcise
Remove the foreskin
To circumcise is to surgically remove the foreskin of the penis.
The practice is ancient, performed for religious reasons in Judaism and Islam, and for cultural or medical reasons elsewhere.
In the United States, routine infant circumcision became widespread in the 20th century, though the practice has grown controversial.
The baby was circumcised on his eighth day.
