circumambulate
Circle on foot
Circumambulate means to walk around something, especially as part of a ritual or ceremony.
Pilgrims circumambulate sacred sites, shrines, or objects as an act of devotion: Worshippers circumambulate the Kaaba during the Hajj.
The word can also describe any deliberate walking around something: We circumambulated the lake at dawn.
