ramblers

Those who roam

Ramblers are people who take long, leisurely walks in the countryside, especially in British usage where rambling is a popular recreational activity.

The word also applies to climbing roses or other plants that grow in sprawling, undirected ways: The ramblers had overtaken the garden fence.

Someone who rambles in speech—wandering from topic to topic—might also be called a rambler.
