chapter meeting
Local branch assembly
A chapter meeting is a gathering of the local branch of a larger organization—a fraternity chapter, a professional association, or a club like the Rotary or Daughters of the American Revolution.
These meetings handle business specific to that branch: elections, planning, and member concerns.
I can't make dinner Thursday; I have a chapter meeting.
