seat selection
Where to sit
Seat selection is the process of choosing a specific seat when booking travel or event tickets.
Airlines, theaters, and venues typically offer seat selection during purchase, sometimes charging extra for preferred locations: Seat selection is free, but exit rows cost $35 more.
The term also covers the interface where this happens: The seat selection showed most window seats already taken.
