camera shots

Cinematographer's framed views

Camera shots are the individual visual segments captured by a camera, defined by framing, angle, and movement.

In film and video production, shot types describe how much of the subject appears: a close-up shows a face, a wide shot shows the whole scene.

Directors and cinematographers plan shots to control what viewers see and feel: The script called for a series of quick camera shots during the chase sequence.
