caboose

Train's tail car

A caboose is the car at the end of a freight train, traditionally housing crew members and serving as a rolling office and shelter.

Cabooses have largely disappeared from modern railroads, replaced by electronic monitoring devices.

In informal American English, caboose is a playful term for the buttocks: Get your caboose off the couch.
