bull elephant
Male pachyderm leader
A bull elephant is an adult male elephant.
Bulls are larger than cows and typically solitary or loosely associated with other males, joining herds mainly during mating season.
The term distinguishes mature males from females and juveniles: A bull elephant in musth can be extremely dangerous.
Bull applies similarly to other large mammals—whales, seals, moose.
