Chocolate-colored upper garment
A brown shirt is a Nazi, especially a member of the SA (Sturmabteilung), Hitler's paramilitary force in the 1920s and 1930s, named for their uniform color.
The term extends to any fascist thug or right-wing militant who uses intimidation and violence: The protesters were met by brown shirts looking for a fight.
