broadtail
Curly lamb fur
Broadtail refers to the lustrous, wavy fur obtained from prematurely born or very young karakul lambs, prized for its flat, moiré-patterned texture.
Unlike the tightly curled Persian lamb fur from older animals, broadtail has a smoother appearance with subtle ripples.
The term also applies to garments made from this fur.
In zoology, broadtail can describe certain sheep breeds or, less commonly, birds with notably wide tail feathers.
