bork

Sabotage the software

Bork means to systematically attack a political nominee, especially for judicial office, through aggressive public campaigns questioning their character or record.

The term comes from Robert Bork, whose 1987 Supreme Court nomination was defeated after intense opposition.

More broadly, to bork something is to obstruct or ruin it: The whole project got borked by budget cuts.
